I’m a designer and maker in Stoke. I’ve been living here since 2000, I moved from London. My mum was living in Stoke. So I moved from London just to be nearer to her, then she moved to Wales. But I stayed.

Technology is a really big part of life today… One thing at the moment, like artificial intelligence, is really the latest thing, isn’t it? So probably everything will be AI in the future. Maybe they’ll be surprised by how much we have to do ourselves. I’d like AI to do my cooking, that is so boring. I spend like two or three hours a day just cooking. It’s very boring.

When I haven’t been able to get [Yasmin, my daughter] out of the house to do anything else, we go to have a look at the Blockhouse. She’s sort of like becomes herself again, running around and being a child I guess. Being up there and having no worries, feeling like you’re on top of the world, I suppose.
