I work here at The Village Hub, supporting community members. I live in Stoke too – moved here about five years ago… Different parts of life seem to be coming together more as well. It’s a mixture, isn’t it? Working together. Makes it …doesn’t seem as hard then. I do volunteering, so I don’t have a lot of time. But my animals really are my free time! Bearded dragons, snakes, turtles. ferrets and cats. They’re called Bruce, Boris, Jax the parrot baby.
You’ve got to know what it’s like to be at rock bottom, to know what it’s like, to appreciate what you’ve got. I was homeless and didn’t know where my next meal was coming from. But I don’t regret being there. Because I know what it’s like to be where I am now.
