Annegret Ward
I started off, living where UTC is, under the playground, and in the houses that were, like, very short-term and got bulldozed down. I moved over the river, and then came back again a few years later, and moved up to upper Stoke at the top of the hill. And now I’m living at the bottom of the hill. So, just sort of moved around the area.
I really like it here. It’s a very magical place, I think. I think the Blockhouse is amazing. Just for the views. And the wind and everything. And down here. I’m given to believe that there’s a ley line down here.
This road used to be called Rocky Hill according to The Box map that they’ve got on the top floor. So yeah, it’s one of the lowest points in Plymouth, often gets flooded. And it goes up to the Blockhouse, which is the steepest part of Plymouth. So it’s really, really steep. And I think that back in the day, we’re told that the women used to wheel their wheelbarrows up and down from the allotments in the Blockhouse down here. So it makes me very, very excited because it takes me ages to get there – much more than 15 minutes!
I’m very fond of yoga. What do I do… belly dancing as well. And I’ve taken up evening walks in Central Park with a little group of women so that’s quite nice. Lots of cinema going very fond of them in the Arts Cinema. So unusually going to see a funny one at the weekend, but in the past, it’s been quite deep. I quite like deep things quite like thinking things reading music garden.
My message for the future is, be kind. Always be kind.
