I’ve lived here for 40 years in Haddington road in the same house. Three sons were born here. One of them still lives here. I was teacher and then deputy head at Stoke Damerel Primary, so very much part of that community, but not so much part of the social life in Stoke because I was working all the time. So since I’ve retired I’m getting more connected with the park. So I’m enjoying working in the park and chatting to the people who wander through everyday.
Plymouth’s a great place to get out into the environment, enjoy what’s around. We’ve got Dartmoor over there, I walk up there once a week at least. And by the coast – I sea swim. It’s just a great place. It’s urban, but it’s a great place to to engage with nature as well.
