I am not a born Plymouthian, but I’ve lived in Stoke for nearly 23 years… had my family up here, and I have the huge privilege of being a local councillor here for the past six years. It’s just a brilliant, brilliant thing to be able to do to represent your community… There’s been a few things that have gone wrong in and around Stoke over the past few years. And I’ve been so impressed with how people have come together and I really hope that’s how Stoke is when you’re listening to this [in 100 years time] too because Plymouth’s special. Stoke is special. And I feel really lucky that this is where I’ve landed up.
